On the 14th of September, the “Supplier Day” took place at the former Opel engine factory and current factory of the Stellantis group.
The SACIA group was present as a supplier of metallic components for the new low ecological footprint and high performance engines of the Stellantis group. LEV engines.
These engines will be used in most of the 18 brands of the Stellantis group, which, combined with electric motors, will form the new PHEV and HEV, which will be spread across 3 continents: Europe, America and Asia.
A detail that perhaps many of you do not know is that this factory in Hungary was the first vehicle manufacturer (OEM) to appear in this country after the fall of the “iron curtain”.
Precisely in 1992, the first Opel Astra was assembled in this iconic GM Group factory.
It was a fantastic opportunity for SACIA to be able to verify and be an active part of the ongoing strategy, in the electrification of the entire Stellantis group business.
